Olivia Hernandez

Olivia Hernandez is an Emmy award winning creative entrepreneur who epitomizes the collaborative strengths of Northwestern University. She received her Emmy as Executive Talent Producer of Northwestern's comedy show, The Blackout. She was selected and participated in The Garage's prestigious Wildfire Incubator. She spent part of the summer in Cuba studying women creative entrepreneurs in the fashion industry. Her latest project? An Artist in Residence program for student entrepreneurs, sponsored by the Garage and advised by Farley Center faculty Heather Aranyi. And she is only a junior. We cannot wait to see what the next two years brings!

Olivia is majoring in Learning and Organizational Change and pursing the Segal Design Certificate. The Artists in Residence Program, is designed to foster a strong artist community at Northwestern by supporting the creation and exhibition of student work with an emphasis on teaching artists how to transform their passions into a business. Olivia exemplifies the entrepreneurial process by taking an iterative approach to designing the program, constantly receiving and applying feedback from the artists themselves in order to best serve and connect them with the knowledge and resources that will further propel their careers.
