VentureCat is Northwestern’s annual student startup competition where the university's most promising student-founded startups will compete for non-dilutive prize money.
Register to attend this in-person info session on Thursday, February 13 at The Garage from 5:30-6:30 PM to learn more about the program and competition, and how to best prepare to apply and compete!
This session will be hosted in person at The Garage and will be recorded. If you are unable to attend, please Register for the session but click the “Can’t Go” option to receive a link to the recording following the session.
This event is exclusively for current students at Northwestern.

Business Formation & University IP Policy Overview Session

On Wednesday, February 19 from 12:15-1:15 PM, The Garage will host a virtual session to cover information that will be especially useful for students interested in applying to VentureCat.
Business Entity Formation Options and Founders' Agreements
Professors Esther Barron and Darren Green of the Donald Pritzker Entrepreneurship Law Center will provide information about business entity formation options and founders' agreements.
University IP Policy Overview
Sarah Kamper, Invention Manager at INVO, Northwestern’s Innovation and New Ventures Office, will also share an overview of university policies related to creating IP as a student, students using University IP, and students using 3rd party IP, as well as steps required to ensure students are working in compliance with all University guidelines.
