Description

NUvention: Biotechnology, a collaboration with Northwestern’s Center for Synthetic Biology, equips students with the skills needed to translate biotechnology-based innovations to the market. During the quarter-long course, interdisciplinary student teams develop new ventures that address challenges to human and animal health and wellness, including disease prevention, detection, and therapies, wellness products such as supplements, skin care, or weight loss treatments, and other relevant consumer goods. In the process of creating new ventures, students work to develop compelling value propositions, conduct market analysis, consider regulatory and intellectual property constraints, and align scientific innovation with market needs.
